Dean Ambrose Set to Leave WWE
It is being reported by pwtorch.com that Jonathan Good, better known to WWE fans as Dean Ambrose will be leaving the WWE after his contract expires in April.
Apparently, Ambrose had a contract meeting with Vince McMahon himself, where he turned down the new contract and a supposedly, turned down a substantial raise.
It is not now nor has it been in the past a secret that Ambrose has been unhappy with his creative control, or lack thereof and the direction of where his character is/was headed. In many unconfirmed reports, that is what took him so long to come back from his injury of last year, it wasn’t that he hadn’t healed, he just really didn’t want to go back.
He is expected to finish his contract around the time of WrestleMania 35, which happens April 7, 2019 in New Jersey. Although some are saying that he could be written out of the storylines sooner than that.
Ambrose started out with WWE under their developmental brand, FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling) in 2011, and then hitting the main roster in 2012.
Ambrose is most notably known for his involvement with The SHIELD, which consisted of himself, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
Recently, Reigns had to take a break from WWE due to his battle with leukemia.
