As of 5/31/2018, WWE.Com has these matches listed for the Men’s matches for the MITB PPV
There are 5 Men’s matches and 3 Women’s matches scheduled for that night.
The main MITB ladder match.
Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, The Miz, Rusev, Bobby Roode, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and one member of The New Day, that has yet to be announced.
Prediction: The winner will be one of two people.
It is going to come down to #BraunStrowman and #FinnBalor. The reason behind this is the fact that they are the Men’s division’s version of Best Frenemies. Balor is the only one who can give Strowman a run for his money (Pun intended) they seem to have a mutual respect for one another and it would make sense for their respective storylines.
The wildcard winner would be Samoa Joe. The only thing standing in the way of Balor or Strowman winning would be the unpredictable nature of Samoa Joe. He will either go all the way or be taken out early.
AJ Styles (Smackdown Men’s Champion) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match.
People are getting tired of this back and forth rivalry, so, logic would dictate it might come to a head at MITB. That being said, and with the history of their matches, the winner will be AJ Styles.
The reason being that up until this point, Styles has not played on Nakamura’s level (IE low blows, etc.) so, this being a Last Man Standing match, this gives Styles an opportunity to beat Nakamura at his own game.
Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal
Reigns is starting to get to be a competitor that seems WWE can’t find a good rival for.
Storyline after storyline, he bounces between Lesnar to Samoa Joe and to now it’s Mahal.
Although Mahal is an outstanding competitor in this own right, I think they’ll give Reigns this win just so he won’t whine and moan about losing later.
The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan) (Smackdown Tag-Team Champions) Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson
Prediction: The Bludgeon Brothers
Out of all the matches, this one is the hardest to call. Mainly because both tag-teams have a hit and miss record for the past 3 months.
That being said, I am going to risk it and say The Bludgeon Brothers will retain their belts.
Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn
Prediction: Bobby Lashley
As of late it seems to be that WWE isn’t sure if they want to put Lashley over or not.
This is going to be the match that puts him over. Many members of the WWE Universe (and according to rumor, some WWE staff) are cheesed off at Zayn for mocking Lashley’s sisters, Zayn will not only lose, but, lose to the point of embarrassment.
That pretty much wraps up the Men’s matches and predictions.
