#DeanAmbrose AKA The Lunatic Fringe has been out of action for quite a while now.
Back in December, Ambrose injured his triceps and had to have extensive surgery followed by physical rehab, which would take him out of action for at least 9 months.
Well, as the rumor mill goes, Ambrose may be ready to come back to action in early/mid-September, which would put his return date somewhere around #HellInACell, which is dated for September 16, 2018
Will Ambrose Be Cleared In Time?
There are also rumors that he may be medically cleared for in ring return as early as late August, but seeing as the pay-per-view that month is SummerSlam and is dated for August 19, 2018 it isn’t very likely that he’d return that early, even if his physical rehab went by the book.
When Ambrose does come back, it is a matter of how to get him back into the fray and who he’d be going against. Many of the WWE fans want him to restart his rivalry with #SethRollins, but, that doesn’t seem very likely as Rollins is working the Babyface angle and Ambrose will most likely return as a Face himself.
Who would be Dean Ambrose’s Next Opponent?
So, who would be his mortal enemy? #RomanReigns seems to be the most likely candidate, as it looks like the writers might be making Reigns turn Heel anyway.
It is possible that Samoa Joe could be the target for the Lunatic Fringe as Joe could be credited as the one who gave Ambrose the injury.
The injury happened on the December 18, 2017 episode of Raw during a six-man tag team match: Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan Vs. #SamoaJoe, Cesaro and Sheamus.
Rollins performed a suicide dive, knocking down Joe, Sheamus & Cesaro and nailed Ambrose by accident. After the match Samoa Joe ambushed Ambrose in the locker room, smashing his already injured arm in-between a crate and its lid.
