We often here how WrestleMania is an event that captivates the hearts of the entire world. A night that carries us back to the enchanting world of our youth, a spectacle that rejuvenates our spirit. WrestleMania will always be the showcase of the immortals for fans all over the world, but for me the show of shows holds a deeper meaning.
This past October, I lost my grandmother to an illness. I owe her everything because she was the one that introduced me to World Wrestling Entertainment. It’s kind of ironic my wrestling journalism career began literally hours after she past.
WrestleMania VI was my first taste of sports entertainment’s biggest stage. I was hooked from hearing Jesse Ventura and Gorilla Monsoon on commentary, to watching Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior square off in the main event, I always knew professional wrestling was something I wanted to be a part of. I’ve seen the boyhood dream of Shawn Michaels come true, I’ve even seen the biggest streak in WrestleMania history end at the hands of Brock Lesnar. What memorial moments are we in store for this year?
A dream match between two of the biggest Icon’s the wrestling industry has ever seen as Triple H goes one-on-one with Sting. We will also see “The Viper” Randy Orton seek revenge against Seth Rollins in a match that I’m banking on to steal the show.
Will The Undertaker avenge his loss at last year’s WrestleMania when he takes on Bray Wyatt in what feels like a passing of the torch match in my opinion?
Will “The Beast” Brock Lesnar continue his destruction as WWE Champion when he goes one-on-one with Roman Reigns? No matter what happens, WrestleMania will be the most talked about event of the year.
