Raw Reaction: Triple H, Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns and more! 2-2-15

Monday Night Raw is finally here and the moment we’ve all been waiting for “The Announcement” Triple H planned on giving the WWE universe tonight was going to shake World Wrestling Entertainment to its core wasn’t really that “Earth Shattering” if you ask me. The big announcement was Seth Rollins would go one-on-one with Daniel Bryan on Raw and the winner of that match would face Roman Reigns at Fast Lane for the right to go one-on-one with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. The guy I feel bad for the most is Daniel Bryan. The most over guy in the company at times doesn’t get treated like an A-plus player. I don’t hate Roman Reigns; I just don’t feel he deserves the top spot right now.

Dean Ambrose challenging the WWE Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett on Raw is a really good idea. It puts Ambrose in a main event in the making type angle while trying to add more gold around his waist. Two weeks ago, the former U.S. Champion Ambrose, got a big win over Barrett on Smackdown & if the two superstars can rekindle that magic on a pay-per-view platform could create a show stealing match. For the second week in a row, Cesaro & Tyson Kidd got a big win over The WWE Tag Team Champions the Uso’s.  I like Cesaro & Tyson as a tag-team, I also a fan of Jimmy & Jay. Kidd got a cheap shot on Jey Uso after the match and celebrated with Cesaro. It’s cool to see the WWE give this tag-team a real push, hopefully a match will be set for Fast Lane.

Tonight’s Raw presented plenty of matches that would be great on a WrestleMania card. Luke Harper vs. Ryback, Erick Rowan vs. Rusev, & Bray Wyatt vs. Dolph Ziggler were not only good quality matches, but Bray Wyatt and Dolph Ziggler proved that they could carry an exciting match worthy of a WrestleMania stage. Hopefully WWE takes a good look at the matches they booked tonight for possible big matches in the future.
Rusev goes one-on-one with John Cena at Fast Lane in three weeks, but now the WWE United States Championship is on the line as well. Cena becoming U.S. Champion at Fast Lane would be without question a downgrade since it’s been over ten years since Cena held the U.S. title. Since the title’s up for grabs, there’s no way Cena wins this match so I see this ending one or two ways….either the match ends in a DQ, or Rusev will stay undefeated by beating “The Face That Runs The Place.”

The main event match between Seth Rollins & Daniel Bryan filled the bill without question & could also be a main event match-up at WrestleMania. Both superstars gave a five star match-up that’s worthy of a feud in the future. Daniel Bryan earning the right to face Roman Reigns at Fast Lane to main event Mania’ makes me nervous on so many levels. The WWE universe wanted Daniel Bryan; Roman Reigns was booed out of the building after he won the Royal Rumble last week. The Fast Lane main event in three weeks has the chance of combusting to even greater heights than the Royal Rumble was times 10 if the fans are disappointed again.
